Hotel Doria Amalfi, Amalfi

My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were good, but unfortunately, there was no view. They did feel more modern and spacious than expected, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea; however, the issue of cleanliness was evident as there were ants everywhere - from the road, the lobby, and nearby rooms. The service was top-notch, especially with the fantastic free shuttle service to and from Amalfi. The staff truly cared about our well-being and went the extra mile to assist with tour organizations, which was greatly appreciated. As for the location, although it offered breathtaking views high on the cliffs overlooking the coastline, it was pretty far from the center, necessitating extra expenses for transportation. The dining experience was a bit of a letdown with limited breakfast options and a steep additional charge per person. Despite these downsides, the facilities were satisfactory, providing the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

The air-con unit outside my window was a minor inconvenience, but the overall experience was fantastic. The staff, especially Renata, was awesome and went above and beyond to make my trip to and from Amalfi seamless. The location, perched high above the coast, offered a serene escape from the tourist crowds, and the shuttle service to Amalfi's center every hour was a great convenience. The dining experience with typical local products was delightful, although the oatmeal was a bit lackluster at times.

Unfortunately, the dining experience was simply the worst I've ever had, but the transfer from the hotel to Amalfi and back was convenient. The facilities were adequate, though the continental buffet was a little bit poor.
